Q: What payments do you accept?
A: Credit Card and Direct Deposit payments are accepted via Paypal. Cheques and money order orders can be posted to – PO BOX 2223, Fortitude Valley B.C. QLD Australia 4006. (Orders will be posted after cheques have cleared – please allow 5 working days)
Q: How do you ship?
A: All orders within Australia and overseas are sent via Australia Post ‘Air Mail’. This is one of Australia’s and the world’s largest mail and freight delivery organisations, ensuring safe and secure delivery. (Similar to UPS, and US Post in North America.)
Q: How much is postage?
A: Postage within mainland Australia is FREE! Yes FREE. Small overseas postage charges do apply please refer to any postage charges at PayPal checkout page.
Q: How long will it take for my order to arrive?
A: Delivery within Australia is between 2-5 working days. Overseas delivery varies between 4-12 working days.
If you require an express post service simply send us an email and we can arrange to have your parcel sent via express post – additional postage charges will apply for this service within Australia and overseas.
E.g.- Orders to the United State & Canada are 9-10 working days
Orders to the European Union are 10-11 working days
Orders to New Zealand are 4-5 working days
Q: What if I have entered an incorrect mailing address?
A: Organic Island cannot guarantee delivery if you do not provide your correct mailing address when placing order. If you think you have provided an incorrect mailing address please contact us immediately via Skype, phone or email so we can amend your order before sending.
Q: What if there is a problem with my order?
A: If you have any questions or concerns with your order, please contact us through email at info@organicisland.com.au, by phone at +617 3852 5020, via Skype (organic.island) or registered post. We welcome any queries via phone or email- we love meeting our customers and are happy to assist and help in this way.
Q: Do you offer gift wrapping?
A: Absolutely, every Organic Island Shell Lip Balm comes gift wrapped at no extra charge! If you would like a gift tag written for someone special just let us know when you place your order and we will do that too, free of charge. Please refer to the Gift Ideas/Weddings page.
Q: What are the different sizes of the shells?
A: The sizes differ with each shell. And differ again within each category, as Organic Island Shell Lip Balm's are not man made.
Please allow us to give you a very accurate estimate for the shell categories:
Small Shell - 3 - 5cm in length. 2 - 3cm in width (White Pearl & Turquoise) -our smaller shells are specifically designed to fit in a purse or small handbag- perfect for a day out, or an evening of fun & glamour.
Medium Shell - 4 - 6cm in length. 4 - 6cm in width. (Mocha & Oriental Fan) -each shell includes a unique shell mirror to check those beautiful lips while showing off your fabulous shell to friends and family.
Large Shell - 5 - 7cm in length. 5 - 6cm in width. (Tiger Crown & White Frangipani) -our large shells are perfect for handbags and around the house, a gift or for someone special.
*Please note – Each shell is not man made and will vary slightly in both pattern and size. All shells are not completely sealed. This is due to the varying shape of each shell.
Q: What if I have a question about a product?
A: We are more than happy to answer your questions. Simply email us or contact us via Skype. It tends to be the quickest way for us to respond, even though there is often an International time difference- we respond to each email- every day. And it gives us a chance to meet you!

Q: What currency are prices charged in?
A: For your assistance all orders are based on your local currency. In the event this is different the currency will be in US dollars.

Q: Can I order over the phone?
A: We are currently implementing a phone ordering system and this will coincide with the launch of our extended premium organic skin care and cosmetic product range, due to be launched in mid 2009. All phone orders are processed via credit card.
Q: Do you have a catalogue?
A: We don't currently have a catalogue of our organic skincare products. However if you would like to register to receive a catalogue please send your Name, email address and postal details to info@organicisland.com.au or please submit an interest on our contact us page located here.
Q: Can I cancel an order?
A: We dispatch most orders within 24 hours of you placing your order. If you would like to cancel an order please let us know as soon as possible and we will notify you whether or not this will be possible; your order may already have been shipped.
Q: Are my credit card details safe?
A: Your credit card details are processed by PayPal, which is a specialist regulated card processing company(And one of the leading authorities in the world in this area), also using state of the art security systems. We never get to see your credit card details and they are not stored anywhere on our own system so you couldn't be better protected.
Q: Are my personal details safe?
A: Your personal details, e.g. address, email etc, are kept safely on our system for our own records so we can process your orders and keep you up to date with offers and news. We never pass your details on to any third parties except when we need to fulfil your order.
Q: How is your lip balm preservative free?
A: One of the many Key features of our exciting Shell Lip Balm is the avoidance of synthetic or chemical preservatives. The only preservative used in our Organic Island Lip Balm is Pure Vitamin E- Allowing for consistent quality over and over, without the nasties.
Q: Are products hygienically sealed?
A: Yes all Shell Lip balms are tamper sealed. Each Lip Balm is tamper sealed in a Therapeutic Goods Association Approved Facility. Giving 100% peace of mind upon each purchase.
Q: How can I tell if a skincare product is organic or not?
A: There are lots of terms you will find on skincare and beauty product labels these days including 'natural', 'organic', 'hypo-allergenic' and 'pure'. These terms have no real meaning; a beauty product is natural if it contains only a tiny percentage of natural ingredients and the rest is made up of chemicals, likewise an organic skincare product may only contain a drop of organic essential oil and nothing else organic. The only way to know what you are buying is to read the ingredients on the label to see how much is natural and how much is chemical. Some ingredients are semi synthetic and can be derived from natural ingredients or from chemicals, yet they will have the same name on the ingredient label. Check that your products Organic ingredients are *certified. -Remember- The first Ingredient listed contains the largest amount. (Typically, many brand cosmetic and hair care products have ‘Water’ or ‘Aqua’ as the first ingredient, you could be paying for 90% water!! And the rest is chemicals. Also remember, look for Latin Ingredient names, it’s the quickest and easiest way to ensure your products ingredients is natural.

Q: Do your Products contain any Parabens / SLS / phthalates / petrochemicals, Synthetic or Artificial Preservatives, Flavours, Colours, Perfumes, Petroleum’s, Formaldehydes, sulphates, ethozylates, and silicones?
A: Absolutely not. Our Products are completely free of any of these ingredients. We only use the finest Certified Organic and Naturally derived Ingredients.
Q: Are your products made and stored in a smoke and pet free environment?
A: Yes always. Our storage facilities are always maintained in a safe, secure environment where the premises are constantly cleaned and maintained to international commercial standards.
Q: What's your policy on animal testing?
A: We do not test our products or ingredients on any animals.
Q: Are organic beauty products hypo-allergenic?
A: Most people with sensitive skin have fewer reactions from organic products because they do not contain common sensitizers such as artificial fragrance or colour. However natural ingredients, particularly essential oils, can trigger a reaction in some people.
